Usui Reiki Ryoho

Reiki was founded by Mikao Usui, born on August 15, 1865, in Japan

Reiki is the union of two Japanese words, “Rei” (meaning “spiritual/divine consciousness”) and “Ki” (meaning “life force energy).  Reiki is “Divinely Guided Life Force Energy”.  The Chinese call this energy “Chi” and the same energy is known as “Prana” in Sanskrit.

Reiki healing as of late is being more and more frequently adopted by a number of hospitals, and other health care settings.   The Reiki healing technique is a complimentary modality to treatment by a physician, chiropractor or  acupuncturist just to name a few.

Reiki should not be used in lieu of a medical treatment, nor is it a medical diagnostic tool.  Reiki is not a massage or connected to massage in any way.
